We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right.
Our service is free for everyone.
About the role
We are currently recruiting for an Accreditation Manager to join our busy L&D team in Manchester. You will be responsible for managing and implementing PHSO’s internal accreditation framework and process for senior caseworkers who carry out investigations into complaints.
As Accreditation Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring that the accreditation framework and process are fit for purpose and that the development of the accreditation policy and procedures is completed in a timely manner in line with the framework.
You will proactively manage the senior caseworker’s relationship with the accreditation framework and process, providing support and guidance at all levels, taking ownership of and responsibility for accreditation work from inception to completion to ensure expectations are managed and excellent customer service is provided.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a similar role and the ability to act as a subject matter expert. An awareness of public administration (particularly in central government or the NHS) and the context in which it operates, especially in complaint handling, is desirable.
