The role As a Senior Underwriting Accountant in the Underwriting Accounting Team, you`ll play a key role in producing and analysing underwriting information and management reporting to support the growth our business. You will work closely with the Underwriting Accounting Manager and collaborate with other departments to provide accurate and insightful information at both the entity and group level. This role is integral to providing both actual, plan and forecast information and working with the Business Partnering and FP&A teams to provide the analysis behind this at an entity and Strategic Business unit level; as well as managing and mentoring two Underwriting Accountants. About you You'll be a qualified accountant with London Insurance Market experience (specifically Lloyd's), and you`ll be proficient in insurance accounting concepts, including UK GAAP and SII. You`ll be able to demonstrate your skills in Underwriting P&L analysis as well as your advanced Excel use, whilst being responsible for UK GAAP Actuals, Forecasts, Plans, and Quarterly SII reporting. You`ll have oversight of the team`s work, participate in financial controls framework, and provide regular reporting for all underwriting entities in Brit Group to diverse stakeholders.
