About the Role
We are recruiting dedicated Children and Young Adult Support Workers to join our team across 10 residential services. Each home supports young people aged 5–18 with learning difficulties, complex needs, and challenging behaviours. Homes vary between 4–12 beds (most with 6 beds), providing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
In this role, you will support children and young people with daily living, emotional regulation, communication, behaviour management, and personal development. You will work within a therapeutic framework and contribute to creating a stable and positive environment.
Essential Experience & Skills
* Experience working with young people with:
o Learning disabilities
o Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
o ADHD
o Complex healthcare needs
o Challenging behaviour
* Understanding of therapeutic approaches
* Strong communication skills, including non‑verbal communication (Makaton or PECS)
Required Training & Qualifications
* Mandatory Training or Care Certificate (including practical Moving & Handling)
* Safeguarding Children
* Level 2 or 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)

Your Role as a Support Worker

Job Description: permanent Support Worker, B74, Fantastic full‑time opportunity for experienced support workers or those wanting to start in this line of work. Support an 18‑year‑old with Cerebral Palsy. £31,000.00 to £4,000.00 gross per annum, DoE, pro rata of 40 hours.

Wage/Salary: 5.00–£1 00 gross per hour weekdays, and 7.00–£1 00 gross per hour weekends (depending on experience). On‑call Night rate: 3.50 gross per hour. 1,000.00 to 4,000.00 gross per annum, DoE, pro rata of 40 hours.

Use of car? On duty (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle)
Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom provided while on duty

Days & Hours: This is a full‑time role offering 30–40 hours per week, depending on the candidate’s availability. The rota is scheduled three months in advance and includes a combination of day shifts, on‑call nights, and approximately two weekend shifts per month. When working a weekend, consecutive days off during the week will be provided.
