Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off Days & Nights rotating
Salary £38,500 to £43400 dependent on experience plus Benefits.
What You Will Do:
- Optimise machinery output and product quality while reducing plant downtime through preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response.
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, identifying root causes and suggesting improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager and collaborate with the operations department to minimise disruption.
- Maintain high standards of engineering and hygiene practices within the department.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety guidelines, proactively suggesting improvements where possible.
- Demonstrate basic problem-solving techniques to identify and address root causes of issues.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience as a machine minder or technical operator, with a keen interest in developing a career in engineering.
- Practical ability to operate effectively within a fast-moving FMCG factory environment.
- Strong numerical and reasoning skills, meeting entry-level requirements for a technical apprenticeship.
- Self-motivated attitude with excellent multitasking abilities and the drive to thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
