Environmental Advisor - (Contract – Outside IR35)
Hybrid | Kingston-based (occasional travel to Teesside)
Start Date: ASAP
Full-time | Long-term contract | Outside IR35
We’re working with a major engineering and project delivery organisation to support the recruitment of an experienced Environmental Advisor. This is a great opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile energy infrastructure project, with responsibilities spanning both onshore and offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan for onshore and offshore scopes
Ensure subcontractor compliance with all environmental requirements and regulations
Oversee and guide the Environmental Coordinator
Act as a key interface with the client, local authorities, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders
Carry out core environmental project activities including ENVIDs, environmental planning, data reporting and investigations
Conduct site audits, inspections, training sessions, and compile detailed reports
Support internal teams with compliance strategy and environmental performance metrics
Ideal Candidate
Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering environmental support across both onshore and offshore energy or infrastructure projects
Certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface confidently with both internal and external stakeholders
