The Role
Our central finance support function is based in Hull, and we currently have a vacancy for a Group Credit Manager to report to the Finance Operations Director. What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage credit control team, providing regular support, guidance and setting of performance targets.
* Minimise overdue debt and maximise cash collections.
* Monitor aged debt and ensure risks are within acceptable limits.
* Negotiate/approve payment terms.
* Work closely with sales, finance, legal and senior management.
* Produce Weekly/monthly credit risk reports for the business and management, focusing on ageing reports, collection performances and bad debt risk.
* Oversee the full provision and debt recovery process. Manage legal actions, payment plans and write offs. Coordinate with external debt collection agency.
* Support on annual audits.
* Oversee smooth process of acquisitions into the central credit control team.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience of credit management.
* Effective organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to lead and develop a credit control team across multiple entities and regions.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to identify and evaluate financial risks.
* Ability to align credit management with broader business needs.
* Willingness to challenge credit term proposals requested by Sales teams.
