GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and nurturing school in Winchester.
We provide a safe and inclusive environment where every child is accepted, valued, and supported. We cater to children aged 4–11 with a wide range of complex learning needs, including multiple learning difficulties, language and communication difficulties and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The school offers a holistic approach to education, with access to a range of therapeutic services including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Art Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.
Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering personalised learning plans.
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with children to meet their individual needs.
* Foster a nurturing and safe environment where all children can thrive.
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure well-rounded support.

* A compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual.
* Experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential).
* A strong commitment to inclusion and child-centred learning.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
