Purpose: The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of our clients retail store, ensuring smooth store operations, excellent customer service, and effective staff supervision. The role involves overseeing sales activities, managing stock levels, supervising store staff, coordinating with the warehouse and online teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Store Manager is accountable for delivering sales growth, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Store Operations & Sales Performance Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth running of sales activities. Drive sales performance by setting targets, monitoring KPIs, and motivating the team. Ensure high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness. Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation. Process sales transactions accurately through ePOS (Electronic Point of Sale) Magento 2 and ensure seamless integration with online sales. Support online order fulfilment (click & collect, returns, exchanges) when required. Customer Service & Experience Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure all staff adhere to company service standards. Handle escalated customer enquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner. Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. Ensure product knowledge across the team so customers receive accurate advice and guidance. Team Supervision, Recruitment & Training Lead, supervise, and support store staff, providing clear guidance and motivation. Recruit staff in line with store requirements and company growth plans. Conduct training sessions on sales techniques, customer service, and product knowledge. Monitor individual and team performance, addressing underperformance and recognising achievements. Organise staff rotas and manage shift cover effectively. Stock Control & Inventory Management Monitor stock levels in-store and coordinate with the warehouse for replenishments. Ensure accurate stock handling, including deliveries, transfers, and returns. Carry out regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies promptly. Minimise stock loss through correct storage, handling, and security measures. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations. Carry out regular checks to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers. Train staff in safe working practices, emergency procedures, and compliance policies. Report and address incidents, hazards, or breaches immediately. Communication, Reporting & Cost Management Act as the main link between store teams and senior management. Provide regular reports on store performance, sales, customer feedback, staffing, and costs. Analyse sales and operational data to identify cost-saving and performance-improving opportunities. Collaborate with other departments (warehouse, online sales, purchasing, and customer service) to ensure smooth operations and aligned objectives.
