London centric with head office based in NW London £70k – £90k + package
Reporting to the Head of Estimating, the Senior Mechanical Estimator will play a crucial role in analysing project specifications and preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects.
Working closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints while maintaining quality standards.
Key Duties:
Analyse project drawings and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs & cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
Evaluate potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
Present estimates to management and participate in bid reviews.
Monitor project costs throughout the project and provide cost control support.
About you:
Experience as a Senior Mechanical Estimator (Building Services Maintenance & Installation) with either a Service Provider or Contractor.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
