About The Role
The senior care worker plays a crucial role in providing care and support to elderly. Their responsibilities encompass various aspects of their resident’s well‑being ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met. Key aspects include medication administration, supervision of the care staff, health monitoring, emotional support, documentation and reporting to your line manager, team collaboration with health professionals and relatives, and adherence to policies and regulations.
You’ll be working at Sandbanks Resource Centre located in Bedfont, Feltham. The home is a residence for 60 older people.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
* Sandbanks has a large diverse staff team.
* Each senior is allocated a unit and a team of care workers and ancillary staff to manage.
* The role includes duty officer shifts, back up duty officer shifts who are essentially responsible for day‑to‑day shift management of the home.
* The key purpose of the role is to ensure we provide a high standard of care to the residents in our care.
About You
Good communication using the English language. All documentation especially care plans, incident forms, medication records are clear, concise, factual and accurate. Completed in line with policies and procedures and in a timely manner.
This is a progressive and responsible role for an experienced, confident and passionate care professional.
* Skilled in the use of technology and have range of computer skills, word excel and Microsoft.
* Able to think clearly process information and priorities duties and direct a staff team.
* Ensure that the care of the residents is to high standard.
* The ability to remain calm in a demanding role.
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in health and social care or be working towards it.
* Proven Experience of managing/supervising a staff team.
* Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
