The Role:As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Planning, preparing, and delivering English lessons that inspire and challenge students.
* Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their development.
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that adopts a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking.
* Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure all learners make progress.
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement engaging schemes of work and resources.
* Contributing to the wider school community through involvement in extra-curricular activities and events.
* Keeping up to date with developments in the English curriculum and best teaching practices.
The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher who possesses the following:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in English and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching literature, language, and literacy.
* Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* A creative approach to lesson planning and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
