The Role
As Audit Director, you will take a hands‑on leadership role across audit delivery, operations, and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards of technical accuracy
* Acting as a trusted senior adviser to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
* Developing, coaching, and managing audit managers, seniors, and trainees
* Overseeing workflow planning, resource allocation, and departmental performance
* Supporting senior leadership with business development, networking, and tender presentations
* Driving improvements to audit processes, methodologies, and quality standards
* Providing strategic input into the audit department’s growth and future direction
* Building and strengthening long-term client and stakeholder relationships

About You
You’re a senior audit professional with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership experience.
You will:
* Be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with extensive experience in UK practice
* Have a strong track record managing complex audit engagements
* Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of FRS 102 and auditing standards
* Bring strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic insight
* Be confident leading teams, developing talent, and motivating others
* Possess exceptional organisational and project management skills
* Be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable contributing to firm‑wide strategy
This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Audit Manager seeking progression or a current Director looking for a new challenge.
