Summary
Diabetic Eye Screening Retinal Screener/Grader – responsible for grading patient retinal images and providing supporting screening clinic assistance within the Humber Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.
Responsibilities
* Grade retinal images and provide accurate, reliable interpretations.
* Support screening clinic operations as required.
* Participate in Test and Train assessments and stay current with pathway changes and national guidance.
* Adhere to strict information governance procedures and maintain confidentiality.
* Assist retinal screeners by offering feedback and support within a small grading team.
* Maintain high accuracy while working under pressure with a large workload.
Qualifications
* Experience as a trained retinal screener within a retinal screening environment.
* Completion of the City and Guilds screener qualification, or working towards the Health Screener Diploma.
* Experience working within an NHS retinal screening programme.
* Full manual driving licence and willingness to undertake a trust driving assessment.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and team‑working skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload, work flexibly under pressure and achieve deadlines.
