Spire Norwich Hospital is a private hospital offering a range of medical services, including outpatient appointments, diagnostic imaging, and inpatient care, for patients with private medical insurance, self-paying, or referred through NHS contracts. Located on the outskirts of Norwich near the A47, it features private en-suite rooms, four operating theatres, on-site pharmacy, free parking, and specialized services in fields like orthopaedics, ENT, and gynaecology. Responsibilities
* To work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Nursing Teams and Consultant Urologists to provide an expert nursing service to Urology patients.
* To provide education and training to all levels of staff within and outside the hospital where there is an identified need.
* To provide leadership in the area of Urology and act as a resource and role model of advanced nursing practice.
* To assist the Director of Clinical Services in planning the service needs, developing the scope of the service and participating in meetings and working groups as required.
* To promote excellent customer service throughout the hospital, facilitating and co-ordinating corporate and local customer service initiatives and providing appropriate support to colleagues.
* To support staff within the hospital to deliver high quality services to patients and their families.
* To continually maintain competence and show evidence of professional development as required by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Who we're looking for / Qualifications
* NMC registered Nurse
* Qualified in appropriate clinical skills - cannulation, venepuncture, male catheterisation, intravesical drug administration, stent removal
* Significant Urological experience at a senior level
* Experience of working within teams and carrying caseload
* Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
* Proficient mentor and clinical supervisor
* Ability to manage teams (Desirable)
