Senior Technical Business Analyst
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping technology solutions that drive real business impact here at LV=
The role will be based out of our Bournemouth office and on a 12-month contract.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions, lead requirements gathering for complex initiatives, and translate business needs into clear technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
•Provide strategic analysis and support for business case development, including feasibility studies and benefits definition.
•Lead scoping and requirement workshops for complex initiatives, engaging senior stakeholders throughout the process.
•Collaborate with business leaders, data office, and technology teams to gather and document business requirements and acceptance criteria, while ensuring solutions align with architectural, data, development, and testing standards and policies.
•Serve as a key liaison between business needs and technical solutions, translating requirements into clear technical specifications that deliver measurable business benefits.
•Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments and translate findings into clear requirements through independent analysis and collaborative workshops with technical colleagues.
•Create data requirements in agile frameworks that feed engineering teams in an efficient manner.
•Provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
About You
•Experience in delivering business analysis across diverse projects and programs, spanning multiple domains and business functions
•Proficient in applying advanced business analysis techniques and methodologies to complex scenarios, leveraging tools effectively to optimise project delivery
•Demonstrated experience working with databases and cloud data platforms, including data governance practices
•Proficient in SQL, data modeling, mapping and solutions architecture with Data Lakehouse expertise
•Skilled in Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI
•Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, AzDo
•Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills with senior and executive stakeholders; strong relationship and stakeholder management experience
•Commercially aware with experience managing internal and external delivery partners
•Proven experience as a Product Owner, managing the full product lifecycle from inception to delivery
Desirable:
•Previous experience of working in the insurance/financial services sector
•Knowledge of Fabric/MS Azure platforms
