An UK leading and globally recognised construction and project delivery consultancy is seeking a Cost Manager to join their Cambridge team. The successful Cost Manager will support senior commercial staff across the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties. The Role
* Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies
* Supporting procurement processes, tender preparation and analysis
* Assisting in the administration of contracts (primarily JCT)
* Monitoring project costs, variations and change control
* Supporting valuations, interim payments and final accounts
* Preparing cost reports and financial updates
* Working closely with project teams and stakeholders to support successful delivery
The Cost Manager?
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
* Previous experience as a Cost Manager, Assistant Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy environment
* Understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication and organisational ability
* Ambition to progress towards chartership (RICS or similar)
