We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational colleague to join our Bridge Street team. This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with pupils, and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success. As a Teaching Assistant you will need to share our commitment and vision and would to a team of likeminded colleagues. Our collection of schools is not only changing but also growing. As a result, this could lead to further progression opportunities within our schools over time. The successful candidate will be able to engage and enthuse our pupils and work cooperatively within a diverse team of professionals from across the education and wider care landscape. Our mantra “we never give up” underpins our approach to working with pupils and guides and underpins our values. This is a fundamental part of our Bridge Street School vision so it is important that the successful candidate can fully embrace and embody this philosophy.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils in lessons and activities, including pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
* Assist with managing behaviour and creating a safe learning environment.
* Contribute to safeguarding and professional standards in the school.

Bridge Street School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and other vetting procedures including the provision of two good references.
