Job Title: SEN Advisor Actual Annual Salary: Actual Salary £31,273 Full Time Equivalent Salary: Grade E £34,740 - £38,419 Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only Inset Days & 10 additional days Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday We are seeking a dedicated SEN Adviser to join our team. Under the direction of the SENCO and Principal, you will oversee SEND, vulnerable, and EAL provision. You will ensure high-quality support for SEND students and act as the main communication point for parents, students, and staff. About you: You will: • Develop effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents. Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals. • Manage intervention and teaching partners, lead CPD for staff, and oversee the operational reading and literacy strategy. • Oversee transitions, exam access arrangements and the operational running of exams and maintain the SEND register. Ensure efficient use of resources and funding. • Implement the SEND Code of Practice, track student progress, and manage behaviour and safeguarding concerns. • Adapt to changing demands, conduct home visits, and promote good pupil behaviour. • Assist with manual handling and personal care as needed. • Handle challenging situations and maintain resilience in an emotive environment. About Snowdon Village: Snowdon Village is a multi-site, cross-phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School. Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school. Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long-term residential care to short-term, part-time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.
