An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Central Wellbeing Team, working with adults who have care and support needs. As a Social Worker in this team, you will be responsible for receiving and managing incoming referrals, conducting a range of assessments and reviews including Adult Safeguarding Enquiries while ensuring a strengths-based approach. You will promote community assets and collaborate with adults, carers, and other professionals. Your work will be guided by legal frameworks such as the Care Act, the Mental Capacity Act, the Mental Health Act, and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Where applicable, you will arrange suitable support packages to address eligible social care needs identified during assessments. Strong communication skills, accurate record-keeping, and report writing are essential for this role. You will be supported by regular supervision and a strong training and development offer. Additionally opportunities for progression in chosen areas of specialism such as Practice Education, Approved Mental Health Practitioner and Best Interests Assessing.
