About The Role
* Role will start on 01 September 2025
* Based at our UK Head Office in Maidenhead (SL1) with hybrid working; some travel for training and site visits
* Initial 24-month training contract with the possibility of a permanent contract; support for career development and professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA)
* Comprehensive training program to develop finance, accounting, and data skills, along with wider professional behaviors
* Salary: £30,644 + 3% Bonus + Benefits

What will I be doing?
As part of the CDF team, you will work on investment projects, assisting with financial modeling, forecasting, and commercial structuring to support our Triple Bottom Line: People, Planet, Profit. Key focus areas include:
* Business Development: developing waste processing infrastructure and bidding for large waste management contracts
* Contract Variations: amending financial models and contracts to meet changing requirements and legislation
* SPV Investment Management: monitoring financial performance of large PFI contracts
* Bid pricing and investment appraisals
* Operational modeling for investment projects, M&A, and disposals
* Monitoring and reporting investment performance to lenders and shareholders
* Valuation of M&A opportunities and due diligence
* Supporting finance functions and international bid teams
* Reviewing models and producing reports and presentations for management
* Updating business plans and forecasts
What are the requirements?
* Numerate degree (2.1 or above) in Engineering, Maths, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent
* Graduated within the past 3 years
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Attention to detail
* Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Good time management and ability to work under pressure
* Proactive, enthusiastic, eager to learn and develop
* Professional, confident, and strong communicator
