SSD/ CDU Production Supervisor

Location: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School Dental Central Decontamination Unit
Contract: Full time – Permanent, 37 hours per week
Salary: Band 4: £29,116 – £31,670
Shift pattern: Alternating shifts 08:00‑16:00 and 10:00‑18:00, Monday to Friday rota with high expectation of weekend availability to support the NHS out‑of‑hours service.
The Dental Central Decontamination Unit plays a vital role in ensuring patient and staff safety by delivering a high‑quality, fully compliant service for the cleaning, packaging and sterilisation of reusable medical devices. In this key role you will provide day‑to‑day supervision and operational support, ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently and safely and in line with agreed parameters. You will also contribute to maintaining and continually improving the Quality Management System in accordance with BS EN ISO 13485:2016.
Requirements
* Must have, or be working towards, SHTM 01‑01 Washer Disinfectors and Sterilisers.
* Strong communication skills and proven organisational ability are essential.
* Enthusiasm, leadership and the ability to motivate others are key, along with competence across all areas of the Central Decontamination Unit.
