Position Overview:
This position is responsible for developing semi-automatic and fully automatic control solutions for various types of ultra-high purity gas delivery systems. Projects serve innovative, cutting-edge technology applications and include engineered-to-order standard product offerings as well as fully customized controls solutions. The Controls Engineer must have experience with both hardware and software design and will be responsible for factory system testing and commissioning/troubleshooting support for our field service engineers, technicians, or end users.
Responsibilities Include:
* PLC and HMI programming across a variety of platforms
* Generate and maintain electrical schematics
* Generate and maintain controls hardware bills of materials
* Assist, as needed, with commissioning automatic and semi-automatic gas delivery systems
* Develop and maintain proper documentation of all electrical and controls projects
* Work closely with mechanical engineers and final assembly team to integrate controls into a complete functioning system
* Ensure final products conform to functional specifications and industry, code, and customer requirements
* Participate in weekly project meetings
* Minimal business travel (< 10%)

Required Experience:
* BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering field
* 3+ years' experience in PLC programming on Siemens or equivalent PLCs
* 3+ years' experience in controls hardware design
* 3+ years' experience in HMI or SCADA design
* 3+ years' experience troubleshooting hardware in a factory setting
* Proficiency in CAD working with electrical diagrams and drawings
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* MRP/ERP software experience is a plus
* Start-up and commissioning experience is a plus
