A highly respected and forward-thinking law firm with a strong presence in the North West is seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor/CILEX to join its growing specialist team. Your new role
You will play a key role within a collaborative Clinical Negligence team, managing your own caseload of claimant matters while also supporting senior colleagues onplex, high-value and catastrophic injury claims. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied and rewarding caseload while gaining exposure to high-profile litigation and developing your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a full caseload of claimant clinical negligence files from instruction through to conclusion
2. Supporting senior team members onplex, multi-million-pound and catastrophic injury cases
3. Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal documentation to a high standard
4. Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy and preparation
5. Liaising with clients, Counsel, courts, medical experts and third parties
6. Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings where appropriate
7. Managing key dates, limitation periods and case progression proactively
8. Ensuring all files are maintained in line with regulatory andpliance standards (SRA, AML, Lexcel)
9. Participating in file audits, risk management and quality assurance processes
10. Contributing to a collaborative team culture, including mentoring and knowledge sharing
What you'll need to succeed
11. Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with circa 4+ years’ PQE in Clinical Negligence
12. Proven experience managing a claimant clinical negligence caseload independently
13. Experience assisting onplex or high-value clinical negligence matters
14. Strong knowledge of litigation processes and regulatory requirements
15. Excellent organisational and time management skills
16. Strongmunication skills with a client-focused and empathetic approach
17. High attention to detail andmitment to quality andpliance
18. Confident IT skills and experience using case management systems
19. A genuine passion for clinical negligence work and achieving positive client oues
