Involve Recruitment are seeking a highly capable, intelligent, and assertive Trade Order Manager to take control of our clients trade order process — bringing structure, control, and efficiency to a fast-moving, and at times, chaotic operation.
This role demands a confident individual who can quickly get to grips with complex order flows, apply sound judgment under pressure, and ensure that every customer order is processed accurately, efficiently, and with professionalism.
You’ll act as the key bridge between sales, warehouse, logistics, and customer service — ensuring our trade customers receive the highest level of service, while maintaining operational excellence.
This is a hands-on, on-site position within a growing, dynamic business that values initiative, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management & Control
* Oversee the full lifecycle of trade orders, from receipt through to dispatch.
* Bring order and clarity to existing processes — ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely fulfilment.
* Prioritise, schedule, and monitor trade orders to maintain optimal workflow and delivery timelines.
Operational Coordination
* Liaise with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure goods are picked, packed, and shipped according to specifications.
* Resolve bottlenecks or discrepancies decisively to prevent delays.
* Maintain visibility of all live orders and proactively manage potential issues before they escalate.
Customer & Internal Communication
* Act as the central point of contact for trade customers regarding order status, lead times, and delivery updates.
* Handle queries with professionalism, commercial awareness, and a solutions-driven approach.
* Collaborate closely with sales and customer service to maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Process & Performance Improvement
* Identify inefficiencies within the order management process and implement practical improvements.
* Develop smarter systems for tracking, reporting, and managing orders.
* Uphold standards of accuracy and reliability across all stages of order fulfilment.
Key Skills & Attributes
* Proven experience in trade order management, customer order coordination, or a commercial operations role.
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills — able to take control of complex workflows.
* Excellent organisational ability with a sharp eye for detail.

* Confident communicator — able to influence, coordinate, and build effective relationships.
* Solid understanding of commercial operations and customer service principles.
* Proficient in Excel and general order management systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience desirable)
