Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your support career? We’re looking for exceptional individuals to expand the talented ranks of our Care Team at Baldock Manor Hospital. In the role of a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will develop a strong and progressive position within the Nouvita network. Your role will involve coordinating recreational groups, assisting in the preparation of assessments for current/future residents, and interacting with every department of the hospital. Your primary task will be to ensure and implement the care/treatment/rehabilitation of service users by assisting our nurses and psychologists. Responsibilities include:
* Participation in the application of care plans while ensuring interventions and observations are communicated effectively with senior team members
* Assisting in the supervision of other healthcare/support staff
* Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment beneficial to residents, relatives and other carers
* Promoting a positive attitude toward mental health and rehabilitation
There is also a small amount of administration work. We use a group of intuitive programmes to help with tasks such as record keeping, booking holidays, editing/creating care plans, and publishing/viewing hours.

As a senior member of the support team, you will be viewed as a team leader, role model, and teacher. Working with your service lead, you will support others and undertake roles and responsibilities of nurses when required. Some roles may include:
* Prepare reviews/assessments for service users
* Support the induction of new staff and supervise the work of existing staff
* Ensure your team remains up to date with mandatory training (monitor the training matrix)
