We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Finance Team Leader to join our Royalties function, leading our Rights Processing team at the heart of the business. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the financial elements of rights contracts are accurately interpreted within our royalty system. In this role, you’ll help safeguard the integrity of our royalties data while supporting the smooth running of a key financial operation.
As a people leader, you’ll manage and develop a team of Rights Administrators, setting clear goals, driving performance, and creating a positive, motivated team environment. You’ll bring a solid finance background and people management experience, but you don’t need prior experience in Rights or Royalties — we’ll provide full training to support your development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining technical accuracy with team leadership in a new and specialist area.
Key Responsibilities
* Targeted chasing of key brand authors for overdue royalty statements
* Creating an environment orientated to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort. Building a cooperative and collaborative team that is flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and encourages a culture of continuous improvement
* Organising and facilitating regular team meetings and one-to-one meetings.
* Ensure that the Rights inboxes are being monitored by the Rights Administrators
* Provide cover for the other Rights Team Leader as required
* Liaise with Rights team for contract and payment queries
* Support the Rights Administrators with queries and help to input various financial information during busy periods, including contractual rate queries and analysis of third party royalty statements
* Support Rights Administrators with answering queries from external stakeholders such as authors and agents
* Production of reporting to assist the Finance Manager (Rights) with KPIs
* Work closely with the accounts team to ensure Licensee details are held correctly in the system
What You'll Bring
* Experience in leading a finance or administrative function.
* Experience in a high-volume transaction business area where accuracy is essential
* Strong numerical skills

* Good communication skills including being able to build strong relationships with other parts of the business

Up to £35,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
