PTS Communications Scheduler (Non-Emergency Ambulance Controller)
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to work as a Patient Transport Service (PTS) Non‑Emergency Ambulance Controller within PTS Logistics.
Main duties of the job
The role will require you to work to agreed objectives, assist in the delivery of contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and schedule patient transport requests to ambulance resources on the day of travel using a computerised scheduling system.
The ability to communicate on all levels is essential; the successful applicant must be able to work independently or as part of a team and use their own initiative.
Job responsibilities
* Experience of working in a patient/customer focused environment.
* Understanding of performance standards and customer care.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work to high standards of quality and meet strict deadlines.
* Experience of working with a computerised scheduling system.
* ICT literate with good keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Qualifications
* GCSE (grades A to C) or equivalent level 2 qualification (e.g. NVQ), including English or other appropriate subject/s.
* Relevant work experience in a patient/customer focused environment.

£25,760 to £27,476 a year, pro rata.
