About the Role
As a CAD Engineer at NOV's Fiber Glass Systems (FGS) division in Plymouth, you will be an integral member of the CAD Team within the Advanced Design and Manufacturing (ADAM) Engineering Services.
Your role will focus on producing high-quality 3D models and drawings to support project delivery, including technical support across business areas, drafting, reviewing, and assisting in the development of internal procedures. You will collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
6. Produce professional-grade models and fabrication-ready drawings
7. Support sales through CAD sketches and client interactions
8. Contribute to Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and process improvements
9. Align drawings with project order requirements and material specifications
10. Provide technical support to cross-functional teams and external clients
11. Mentor and train team members within NOV FGS Plymouth
12. Maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) from models and drawings
13. Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Business Management Systems (BMS)
14. Track and log work hours as required
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
15. GCSE (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
16. Intermediate-level CAD software proficiency
17. Strong attention to detail
18. Effective communication skills
19. Team-oriented approach
20. Desirable:
21. Degree-level education
22. Advanced CAD proficiency
23. Experience in the construction industry
24. Knowledge of PX fabrication procedures
