Overview
Head of Talent role at Midland Heart. The successful candidate will lead the talent development, training and early careers teams and shape a forward-looking talent and organisational development strategy. Reporting to the Director of People, this role focuses on ensuring leadership, skills and capability to deliver on our promises to tenants.
Base pay range: per Midland Heart policies. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
* Build robust succession pipelines for critical roles to ensure leaders and specialists are in place to meet sector challenges.
* Develop and deliver early careers programmes, including graduate schemes and paid internships; support the establishment region's first Housing Skills Academy.
* Collaborate with senior leaders and HR to embed a performance culture where every colleague understands how their role contributes to tenants’ experience.
* Deliver targeted learning and development to support the Corporate Plan's four pillars: modern homes, quality services, financial resilience, and one team working for tenants.
About you
You will be a strategic people leader with a track record of developing talent pipelines that support business growth and transformation. You will bring:
* Chartered CIPD status (or equivalent), with evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experience translating organisational priorities into successful talent development strategies.
* Experience leading teams and delivering large-scale development programmes.
* Extensive experience designing and delivering an early careers programme aligned to future business skills.
* A collaborative style with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners.
Working arrangements
Midland Heart operates Smart working practices; it is expected that the successful candidate will work a minimum of 3 days per week onsite as standard for this high-profile role.
