Overview
Comfort Services Group, a specialist in Air Movement & Water Treatment Services, has been delivering quality environmental commissioning and water treatment solutions for nearly 20 years. This full‑time role supports engineering teams in HVAC commissioning, water treatment (closed‑circuit, domestic systems, chlorination, tank cleaning) and associated risk and compliance tasks.
Responsibilities
* Support Commissioning & Water Treatment Engineers, working closely with supervisors and the engineering team to follow BSRIA guidelines and relevant CIBSE Codes A & W.
* Compile accurate computer‑generated test sheets and engineering reports using master templates, with initial training as required.
* Wear company clothing and appropriate PPE at all times.
* Assist in producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for individual projects.
* Maintain proficiency with Office suite applications (Word, Excel).
* Apply understanding of building, engineering, and M&E industry best practices.
* Carry out all reasonable tasks or projects as requested.
* Follow instructions from project managers/lead engineers.
* Adhere to company rules, Health & Safety, and Quality policies.
* Ensure the employee handbook has been read and understood fully.
* Behave respectfully towards customers, colleagues, and office staff.
* Promote a professional company image.
* Avoid making promises that cannot be kept.
Key Tasks
* Perform air and water balancing and HVAC system validations to CIBSE Codes and BSRIA Guidelines, maintaining a positive, can‑do attitude and proactive troubleshooting.
* Assist the commissioning and water treatment teams as required.
* Follow proper procedures for setting up and flushing closed low and chilled water systems in accordance with BSRIA guidelines.
* Understand L8 water compliance requirements.
* Participate in any company‑provided training programs.
* Be prepared to travel and stay away as necessary to complete your work and pursue opportunities to improve standards.
* Adhere to company processes, respecting all staff and colleagues.
* Report any issues to your project manager or lead engineer.
* Generate test sheets and reports in a timely manner.
* Day release – one day per week based in college.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on business needs; availability will be verified prior to any out‑of‑hours arrangements.
