This is an exciting opportunity to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract which may suit either a recent graduate or someone at the start of their social media and communications career. The role Working alongside the Social Media Manager and the wider Corporate Communications team, you’ll be supporting with idea generation, content creation and delivery of our social media content strategy. Relevant training and development will be given to fully support you in delivering confidently and competently in these areas. You will work with the Social Media Manager and other teams, learning the key skills to manage social media channels and the fundamental governance processes involved. You’ll be supported in growing your understanding of business needs and how we create a strong community and following for the LV brand – bringing to life our brand purpose, values and products in a way which is engaging and meaningful for our target audiences. This role will give you a full understanding of how social media is managed within a corporate environment, and within a wider communications framework. You’ll help with writing, planning and delivering social media plans, and you will assist in ensuring they are well executed and are delivering against key objectives. We do support Hybrid working but initially you will be working in our Bournemouth offices 4-5 days per week to ensure you get all the support you need. About you A keen writer with a good understanding of the English language. Keen interest and some knowledge of social media channels. Good attention to detail and organisational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. A team worker. A positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work as part of a team or independently. Ability to demonstrate creative thinking. Desirable: experience of producing a range of content, including social media posts, articles, videos and podcasts. Details Learn how social media plans are created working alongside the Social Media Manager. Research, write and publish content for a range of channels with the support of the Social Media Manager and wider Corporate Communications team. Help deliver social media plans and activity across the full range of channels. Learn how to analyse social media performance and support with regular reporting. Liaise with the wider communications team to assist in integrated campaigns. Learn to manage and respond to social media queries from customers and members. Support with the day-to-day management of LV’s social media presence on all relevant platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Work collaboratively with other teams around the business to support with an integrated communication approach. Understand and follow the governance processes for all LV owned social media channels to help ensure all social media activity is fully aligned, compliant with regulations and reflective of our brand identity and values. Learn to proactively identify new social media campaigns and opportunities that will help deliver organisational objectives. Champion the use of social media and other channels to deliver business objectives and help embed their use within relevant business functions. Learn the functions of the wider communications team, for example internal communications, and support with some delivery in those areas.
