At Egis, we prioritise our people, and to enhance our Water capabilities, we are looking to recruit a skilled Water Senior Quantity Surveyor to operate as part of the Energy and Sustainable Cities Business Line.
This period marks an exhilarating time to join Egis's new Project, Programme, PMO and Commercial Management Capability (“P3M CM”) UK, Ireland and Europe team, which is undergoing a transformative phase. Achieving results through strong commercial policies;
Amidst the challenges of managing the extensive infrastructure needs of Europe, these dynamic transformations offer numerous opportunities to contribute significantly to Egis's establishment as a leader in the infrastructure sector.
Reporting to the Water Cost and Commercial Lead for the UK, your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor will involve delivering work with water companies or the Environment Agency in the Midlands area predominantly, with opportunity to work in the North West of England in consultancy roles. However, there will be opportunity for progression between UK water, environment, rail or nuclear sectors.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre- and post-contract management in NEC 3 or NEC 4 ECC form and procurement within the UK water, environment, rail or nuclear sector. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement and contract management.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will have experience working with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and/ or Early Subcontractor Involvement (ESI) in design and build major capital programmes.
We will fully support your personal growth and development enabling you access to full RICS training courses, a path to chartership or help you develop your career to the level you want. NEC3/4 Option A, Option C, Option E ECC Contract management and administration client side
Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues
Pre-Contract
Feasibility studies and cost planning
Risk management
Post-Contract
Management and administration of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms
Claims and dispute resolution
Final accounts and post-project evaluation
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
A wealth of experience postgraduate in Rail, Nuclear, Water and/ or Environment.
Line Management and recruitment experience of Quantity Surveyors or Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
Risk management experience
Valid CSCS card, with Water Hygiene Card desirable.
Main contractor and/or joint venture experience working client side
Site presence and co-location minimum 3 days a week
