We are recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to join our busy team running & dealing with queries for the monthly payrolls for all businesses within the Group. You will provide a professional and efficient service for all group companies and employees in line with the Groups policies and procedures and government legislation. You will assist in the preparation and processing of all monthly payrolls ensuring all data is checked and processed accurately, ensuring statutory compliance of all payments onto the payrolls system in line with SLA’s.

Location & Working Arrangements
This role is based in Preston, allowing you to collaborate with the People Services team. To facilitate a good work‑life balance, hybrid working is available and you will be able to split your time between home and the office (two days minimum).
Key Qualifications
* Knowledge of statutory legislation for payroll & pensions
* Working in a high volume transactional service
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office
* Experience of preparing large payrolls for a complex multi‑business group, with strong numeracy and ability to reconcile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reconciliations and provide payroll cost analysis
* Experience with a complex ERP system such as Business World (or similar) and good IT literacy
* Ability to provide guidance to internal customers to ensure they follow policies and maintain a positive, helpful attitude
