Job Summary
We are recruiting a highly motivated, HCPC registered podiatrist to join our dynamic, supportive podiatry team as a bank member of staff at Surbiton Health Centre. The role offers the opportunity to develop clinical skills in various podiatry specialisms while maintaining a flexible working pattern. The position is band 6, with NHS pay and benefits, and is ideal for professionals who want to contribute to high‑quality podiatry service without a full‑time commitment.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality, evidence‑based podiatric care to patients with a range of foot health needs.
* Manage a complex caseload independently, including high‑risk foot care, wound management, biomechanical assessments and nail surgery.
* Work collaboratively within the team and with other healthcare professionals.
* Support service development and clinical audit.
* Supervise, train and mentor band 5 staff and students.
Essential Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Podiatry (or equivalent).
* Local Anaesthesia certificate.
* Current HCPC registration.
* Experience working with high‑risk patients, including diabetes.
* Experience of NHS podiatry and domiciliary care.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* Valid driving licence and access to vehicle for work purposes.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
* High‑level physical skills, precision hand‑eye coordination for prolonged periods.
* Proficiency in nail surgery, health promotion, and biomechanical assessment.
* Effective communication and ability to maintain professional records.
* Awareness of clinical governance and health & safety regulations.
* IT skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
Desirable Extras
* Post‑graduate CPD evidence.
* Awareness of National Service Frameworks.
* Diabetes foot module qualification.
* Experience with electronic health record systems.

Contract Details
Bank contract – flexible working pattern. Pay: £21.96 to £25.93 per hour (including HCAS).
