NORA'S is a modern neighbourhood restaurant inspired by British and American comfort food, with a focus on quality meats, seafood, and seasonal produce. Led by Head Chef Lewis Craig, our team is passionate about sourcing the best ingredients, dry-aging in-house, cooking over bonchotan charcoal and delivering an elevated, welcoming dining experience. In the role you would
* Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu development, and team leadership
* Oversee prep, service, and closing—ensuring consistency, quality, and food safety
* Mentor and train junior chefs, sharing skills in brining, smoking, sous vide, and charcoal cooking
* Collaborate on specials and seasonal menu updates
* Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships (Aubrey Allen, M.C. Kelly, Darts Farm, S&J Fisheries)
* Uphold our high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hospitality
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP in a quality restaurant
* Confident with modern British/comfort food, meat cookery, and seafood
* Passionate about food, flavour and honouring great produce
* Calm under pressure with a positive, team-first attitude
* Eager to learn and contribute to a close-knit, ambitious team
* Food hygiene certificate (Level 2 or above) preferred
