The Role
We are recruiting a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to assist the Crew Chief. The engineer will be responsible to the Chief Engineer for the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of all Part-145/A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities within the Aircraft Maintenance department and detached locations. The role also involves supporting engineering decisions and guiding personal and team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the performance of aircraft maintenance operations and personnel at relevant stations.
* Promote a “Just Culture” regarding safety and reporting within the business.
* Be responsible for the maintenance and certification of aircraft and equipment allocated to them by the Crew Chief.
* Support operations and maintenance of aircraft at main and detached locations worldwide.
* Supervise and perform ground movements of assigned aircraft.
* Ensure technical staff perform duties safely and according to manuals and regulations.
* Certify maintenance performed by their team.
* Ensure timely completion of all aircraft maintenance documentation.
* Coordinate engineering activities to meet targets and budgets.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
* Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, including line, base, or workshop environments.
* Unrestricted CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 licence with relevant type ratings or authorizations.
* Over 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
* Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
* Strong communication, team building, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to motivate and influence change.
* Experience with continuous improvement projects is desirable.
