Job Objectives
As an experienced Project Controls Professional in manufacturing, construction, or engineering, you will establish processes, templates, and tools, and set the baseline for cost and schedule, monitoring performance and managing risks, opportunities, and changes. Your responsibilities include:
1. Identifying trends and root causes of deviations, recommending remedial actions to maximize value for the client.
2. Evaluating project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls to ensure successful delivery.
3. Collaborating with remote cost management teams to establish a market-tested cost baseline and ensure value for money.
4. Guiding and influencing general contractors to stay on schedule and within cash flow parameters.
5. Serving as the main client contact to address delivery and commercial issues, preparing reports on time, cost, and quality.
6. Controlling costs using knowledge of conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, contingency, and procurement principles.
7. Creating or managing cost reports and executive dashboards.
8. Leading change management processes, tracking, and monitoring changes.
9. Leading planning sessions to develop and agree on project schedules and critical paths.
10. Managing procurement schedules and vendor requirements.
11. Participating in risk evaluations and incorporating risks into Monte Carlo analyses.
12. Monitoring project changes and communicating updates for approval.
13. Ensuring vendors update schedules timely and accurately.
Minimum qualifications include proven experience in project controls across all project phases, ability to analyze data and recommend actions, proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6, and strong time management skills.
