We are looking for a Practice Cleaner to join our team.
The working pattern for this roles will be the following:
* 15 hours per week - Monday to Friday 6 am - 9 am.
The Practice Cleaner will support with the internal cleaning of the site according to the detailed workschedules and standards set out by the Practice, using the materials andequipment provided in the manner recommended by the manufacturers and suppliers.To adhere to health and safety regulations ensuring that all cleaning iscarried out in a safe manner.
Eachteam member will normally have designated areas for which they are responsible.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role will be to assist the team with the high-quality cleanliness of this practice by ensuring the following tasks are carried out:
* Vacuuming of carpetsand mats
* Cleaning of the following, Hardand soft floor surfaces, Toilets, Kitchen areas and Telephony and computer equipment
* Collecting and baggingof general and clinical waste and putting ready for disposal
* Replenishing suppliesof soap, paper towels, toilet rolls and waste disposal bags
* Ensuring that allcleaning equipment used is cleaned in preparation for the next day
* Reporting of faultycleaning equipment and any conditions that may require attention to thePractice Administrators
* Effectively monitor andreport stock levels of cleaning materials, and place appropriate ordersbefore stocks are exhausted
* Washing anddisinfecting waste bins where necessary
* Follow and adhere toHealth and Safety procedures
* To adhere to thecleaning regimens put in place to ensure regular timely cleaning isundertaken
* Recording the cleaningof each specific area of work as necessitated by the business
* Meeting regularly withthe Cleaning Team Leader to discuss focus areas
* Undertake any other cleaning tasks that may occasionally berequired on a periodic basis, prior notification will be given, andovertime paid at the hourly rate.

* Ensuring that allcleaning equipment used is cleaned in preparation for the next day

The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining theirown and others health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health& Safety Policy, to include:
* Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertakingsuch activities in a way that manages those risks
* Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
* Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining workareas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
* Ensuring that only approved cleaning substances are used within thePractice.
* Ensuring that COSHH Data Sheets are used for all substances asappropriate especially those with hazard symbols.
* Ensuringthat cleaning substances are returned to the cleaning store cupboardimmediately after use and prior to staff using the building.
