Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian – Mental Health based at Woodland View.
What you will do:
You will work closely with our team of dietitians, dietetic assistant practitioners, and support workers, as well as the wider multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based nutritional care for our clients. Experience working with clients within mental health is not essential but may be advantageous in this rewarding area of dietetics.
Due to a review of skill mix and changes to clinical work allocation based on geographical considerations, there is an opportunity to consider the skills and knowledge that the new post holder would bring to the team.
This role offers the chance to consider applicants with varying experience, including, but not limited to, EMHT, CAMHS, ARFID. The successful applicant will work within an allocated mental health client group to address diverse nutritional needs.

Knowledge, training, and experience required:
You will be involved in providing training and education to patients, carers, support staff, and professionals on various nutritional topics. There will be opportunities to participate in service development, quality improvement projects, and professional development.
While you will be line-managed and supervised by the team lead, you will receive support from the entire team and the wider MDT teams for your locality.
The Mental Health Dietetic Team is part of the North Ayrshire Dietetic team based at Ayrshire Central Hospital/Woodland View in Irvine. The department conducts regular clinical supervision, shared education sessions, and professional development days, and offers many internal learning opportunities. The team is proactive in supporting staff's personal development.
