The Role:
1. Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
2. Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively
4. Support student progress and attainment
5. Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a positive learning environment
This Role Would Suit:
6. ECTs who have not yet secured a permanent position and are looking to gain valuable experience
7. Experienced English Teachers seeking flexibility or a better work-life balance
8. Teachers returning to the profession
Requirements:
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
10. A degree in English or a related subject
11. Recent experience teaching English within the UK curriculum (placements accepted for ECTs)
12. Strong classroom management skills
13. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
14. Two recent professional references
