Commercial Underwriter- Belfast Exciting new career opportunity within our Commercial Lines team, this role would be focused on New and Existing Business. This Commercial Underwriter will involve processing underwritten cases within agreed processes and risk appetite, with senior direction & guidance, to achieve business development and retention targets. You will spend most of your time supporting more qualified colleagues and managing customer interactions. You will be desk-based working within a team and with other colleagues responsible for underwriting risks. You will have strong analytical, relationship management and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Supporting more qualified colleagues in the handling of non-standard cases in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided Identifying non-standard or complex risks and escalating to more qualified colleagues to ensure they are handled appropriately Actively engaging in the identification, prioritisation, negotiation and winning of profitable renewals in line with agreed business strategies and delegated authorities. Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction Contributing to the production of new and existing policy documentation to ensure they are current and accurate Develop and maintain good internal relationships to support the end-to-end delivery of the customer proposition.
