Position: Maintenance Fitter
We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment. The goal is to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production. The role offers Monday to Friday dayshift hours, providing a great opportunity for those looking to avoid shift work. Overtime hours over 40 are paid at a premium rate.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or similar.
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
2. Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime.
3. Diagnose faults, resolve issues, and identify root causes.
4. Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules.
5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance work.
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software.
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S.
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or similar.
* Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production setting.
* Strong mechanical skills including welding and fitting.
* Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
