The Company
This is an independent financial advisory firm (FCA regulated but not tied to one financial services supplier) that protects as well as grows its clients’ wealth. They build financial security and momentum that compounds over time.
Since 2016, and with years of prior experience before that, this company has invested in the long-term client relationships that build wealth freedom. Those relationships create happy and loyal clients, creating a rare level of consistency and growth in the company’s revenue (currently c£1.5m).
Their core values are strong and clear:
* Client First – we put the client first in everything we do
* Strong Work Ethic – we do what we say we will do
* Growth Oriented – we all want to develop and continually learn and improve
From that strong foundation, the Founder is ambitious to reinvest in future growth. He’s thinking ahead, just as he does for his clients, preparing and building for the longer‑term.
Integrator – Role Overview
To support that growth, we are looking for the ideal Integrator to lead and manage this thriving company, alongside its visionary Founder‑CEO.
Integrator is a role outlined in the ‘Entrepreneurial Operating System’ (EOS) model which this company is implementing as a framework to encourage consistent growth.
Why hire an Integrator now?
This team (currently 9 people and growing) delivers complex services to an extremely high quality for their clients. The staff are dedicated, the business is growing and profitable, and their clients are loyal. The company is also successfully implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) in its structure and operations.
As Integrator, you will own the day‑to‑day running of the business, taking leadership and management responsibility for all functions, allowing the Founder‑CEO to focus on growth opportunities. You will act as a pragmatic ‘filter’ for strategy and plans, then work closely with the team to ensure effective execution and delivery.
* Build and execute the business growth plan, achieving or exceeding planned P&L objectives.
* Lead, manage and hold all colleagues accountable for achieving agreed commitments.
* Integrate all operating functions of the business. Ensure everyone is rowing together in the same direction. Model the way, always working toward the greater good of the business.
* Evaluate and optimise core processes and systems, ensuring everyone is following and adhering to them with consistency. Effective project management skills will be key.
* Resolve issues effectively – seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems and solving them in a practical and healthy manner. Ensure the leadership team is healthy, functional and cohesive.
* Ensure timely follow‑through on ‘need to do’ as well as ‘want to do’ tasks (e.g. FCA compliance is as crucial to the business as giving valued client advice).
* Demonstrate a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity and clarity.
* Effectively collaborate with the Founder (in the role of the Visionary/WHY‑type) and stay on the same page. Recognise the Founder’s unique contributions and ideas and respectfully filter and translate ideas into the functional plans for the company.
* Ensure that effective communication exists across the organisation, so all key messages are properly and consistently shared, keeping everyone in the know.
Success Markers
* Happy and engaged team
* Ambitious growth
* The day‑to‑day business runs consistently, efficiently, and cost‑effectively
* Issues are identified early and resolved decisively
* Client journeys are predictable and high quality
* Processes are followed and continuously improved
* Founder operational involvement is limited
Applicant Profile
* GSD - get stuff done. You’re a “completer finisher”. You pay attention to the details, though the only constant is change and nothing is ever truly “done” - you’re okay with that.
* Fast and efficient. You work at pace, maintaining clear focus on the business goals, moving forward systematically and smoothly. Your processes are tested and documented – so scalable. You don’t ‘flap’ easily, so your team feels confident being proactive.
* A Leader of People and Champion of Processes. The ‘product’ is providing and implementing expert financial advice and services, and relies on expertise, relationships, and efficiency, so getting those right is crucial. We need people, process and data skills more than ‘product’ experience (there is strong ‘product’ expertise in the team). We need you to help build a great team and enable them to deliver their best work.
* Data & Tech savvy. There are AI tools that will support efficiency across marketing, systems, processes and back‑office functions. You’ll be evaluating them and deciding what needs to be implemented. It’s also a data‑rich environment – we need your help to make data flow smoothly and to capture its value.
* You pay attention to the nitty gritty as well as seeing the big picture. The role has overall responsibility for all business processes and systems, plus ‘detail’ factors such as contracts and regulatory compliance. You will also play a key role in strategic thinking and decision‑making. You pay close attention to the details, and you may think of yourself as ‘the voice of reason’, though we’d like your big ideas too.
* A ‘we’ thinker, rather than an ‘I’ thinker, high on empathy and low on ego. This role is as much about looking after and developing the team as it is about looking after efficiency and profitability. Definitely not for lovers of ivory towers or anyone needing to protect their ego by hiding from awkward truths. You talk openly, plan solutions then execute as a team. When mistakes happen, you learn, fix it and move on, not hide from it.
* Alert and curious, with initiative and resourcefulness. You think ahead, prioritising and planning carefully to achieve measured progress on business and team goals. You stay informed and organised, so when opportunities or issues occur you can act quickly and calmly, because you are a problem solver and you are prepared for as much as possible.
* Open and communicative. You are not afraid to ask questions or have them asked of you. You are a ‘team player’ and you are adept at coaching, encouraging and supporting those around you to play to their strengths and achieve their best work.
* Growth mindset. You’re ambitious for the company, the team, your clients and yourself, so you are confident in encouraging and supporting everyone in the team towards ambitious goals.
What’s in it for you?
* Competitive salary, benefits and performance bonus
* Lead a professional and engaged business and team with real growth potential
* Fantastic offices
* Learn and execute the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®)
* Make a difference
