NeurodevelopmentalPractitioner-MAINPURPOSEOFTHEJOB ThispostholderwillworkaspartofTheNookTherapyClinicprovidingdiagnosticassessmenttoyoungpeopleandadults.
ThisroleisopenonlytoHCPCregisteredprofessionalsthatcanofferexpertiseinthefieldofautismandADHD.Thepostholderwillsupportanddevelopdesignatedmembersofstaffandprovideadviceandawarenessraisingofneurodiversityacrossagenciestofacilitategroupactivities,contributingtoplanningandimplementationofinterventions.
WeareonlyacceptingapplicationsfromindividualswhoaretrainedintheadministrationoftheAutismDiagnosticObservationSchedule(ADOS-2).
MAINDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES Asaneurodevelopmentalpractitioner,thepostholderwillcontributetothediagnosticassessmentofautismandADHDinchildren,youngpeople,andadults(someadditionaltrainingcanbeofferedbutyoumusthaveADOS-2trainingtoapply.) Undertheguidanceofaseniorpractitioner,theywillgainexperienceandprovidespecialistadviceandsupporttomulti-disciplinaryandmulti-agencyprofessionalsandfamiliesworkingwithneuro-diversechildren,youngpeople,andadults.
Undertheguidanceofaseniorpractitioner,theywillgainexperienceandprovidetailored,evidence-based,outcome-focusedtimelimitedsupporttothepartners/carersandwiderfamilymembersofautistic/neuro-diversechildrenandyoungpeople.
NeurodevelopmentalPractitioner-Thepostholderwill: Contributetothedevelopment,co-ordinationandevaluationofspecialistinterventionsprovidedwithintheNeurodevelopmentalService.
Supportandcontributetoresearchprojects,ensuringinterventionsareevidencebasedandcomplywithNICEguidelines,currentlegislationpertainingtoautismandADHDandprofessionalstandards.
UndertakeacaseloadtosupportseniorNeurodevelopmentalTeamcolleaguesandworkaccordingtoaplanagreedwiththeTeamLeadandClinicalLeadfortheservice.
Thepostholderwillofferspecialistknowledgeandskillsappliedthroughtheoreticalandpracticalexperienceandcontributetomulti-disciplinarycasediscussion.
ThepostholderwillberequiredtoundertaketrainingandbecomeproficientundersupervisionintheassessmentofautismandADHDanduseofdiagnosticassessmenttoolsasrecommendedinNICEguidance.
Ensureeffectiveandtimelycontributiontomulti-disciplinaryteamdiscussionandsupervisionarounddiagnosticassessment.
Contributetothedevelopmentoftheservice,supportingtheorganisationtoimplementarangeofactivitiesand/orprogrammes.Thesemaybeon-goingandrequirecontributingtoevaluationandimprovement.
ProvidespecialistadviceandconsultationtootherprofessionalsforgingstrongrelationshipsacrosstheNeurodevelopmentmultidisciplinaryteam(MDT)andotheragencies.
Thepostholderwillbeanautonomouspractitionerwithintheirlevelofcompetency,undertheguidanceofaseniormemberoftheMDT.ManageowncaseloadprovidingsupportandadvicetoindividualswithautismspectrumconditionsandADHD.
ServiceManagementtoensureadherencetoHealthBoardpoliciesandproceduresandlegislationandgoodpracticeguidancearoundautismandADHDatalltimes.
ContributetothedevelopmentandreviewofNeurodevelopmentalteampoliciesandprocedures.ServiceImprovement.
