You'll be operating and maintaining cutting‑edge composites equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and collaborating with a passionate team to deliver high‑quality machining solutions. Your work directly supports the AMRF's mission to become a globally recognised hub for advanced manufacturing, where innovation and inclusion drive every project. You'll be trusted to make sound decisions, troubleshoot complex equipment, and contribute to a safe, high‑performance workshop environment. Overtime doesn't occur on a regular basis in this role. For additional hours worked beyond 35 hours per week, flex leave is available.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience optimizing composites manufacturing solutions with quality, expedience, and value for a diverse range of projects
* Experience with multi‑technology composite environments (e.g. Filament Winding, Hand Layup, etc..) and related post‑processing and inspection techniques.
* Proven compliance with project specifications, quality and customer expectations, safety and environmental standards, and resource constraints.
* Working knowledge and understanding of 3D design and programming software, and technical drawings per ASME Y14.5 or AS1100.
* Proven ability to work effectively in team environments while demonstrating independent problem‑solving capabilities and self‑directed learning skills.
* Demonstrated experience operating composites technologies within critical quality systems
What is an essential requirement: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, or related disciplines, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience.
