We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at HMP Stocken, a category C men's prison located in the county of Rutland.
Hours
The site currently offers 37.5 hours per week.
Monday - Friday: 8am - 4pm
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £33,510 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* You will assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team. You will be expected to support people to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times.
* You will contribute to the positive and aspirational workings of the integrated mental health care team, ensuring that each and every patient is treated with care, respect and dignity.
* The post holder will provide assistance with delivery of mental healthcare needs, within the Healthcare Department.
* Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications Required
* Mental Health Support Worker Experience
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work independently
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
