At Totalmobile, we’re passionate about transforming how field services are delivered — and improving the working lives of the people who deliver them. As the UK’s leading Field Service Management (FSM) provider, our software empowers over 1,000 organisations and 500,000 mobile workers across the UK and Ireland to work smarter, safer, and more efficiently. With around 400 employees and one of the fastest-growing SaaS portfolios in the sector, we're expanding rapidly into Australia, Canada, and the Nordics — and this is your chance to be part of that journey. Why Join Totalmobile? Our integrated FSM product suite, Field First, has been shaped through years of innovation, organic growth, and eight strategic acquisitions in the last five years. This momentum has positioned us as one of the UK’s most exciting software companies, with a cloud platform that’s constantly evolving and scaling. As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and stabilising the Azure environment that underpins our entire platform ecosystem. The Opportunity We’re entering a major phase of product evolution as we unify multiple rostering platforms into a single, modernised solution. This represents one of the most significant programmes in our roadmap — and it demands a cloud environment capable of supporting far greater scale, complexity, and resilience than anything we’ve delivered before. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role within our Platform Services group. You’ll be at the centre of delivering strategic cloud initiatives, championing best practice, and helping the business adopt technologies that drive automation, performance, and cost efficiency. You’ll work closely with development, support, and security teams, becoming a key technical pillar ensuring reliability, observability, and continual improvement across our Azure estate. If you thrive on solving complex cloud challenges, shaping strategy, and working in an environment where your influence is felt, you'll excel here. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll take ownership of cloud engineering tasks linked to the rostering unification programme, ensuring the environment is scalable, resilient, cost-efficient, and secure. You’ll monitor and enhance Azure systems, embed engineering best practice, and help shape how the platform evolves as usage scales dramatically. You’ll collaborate with development and support teams to troubleshoot issues, document fixes, and drive consistent operational processes. You’ll work hands-on with ARM/Bicep, Azure compute, storage, networking, containers, and observability tooling — helping move the organisation toward a more automated, repeatable, and monitored cloud environment. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to broader platform initiatives where deeper Azure expertise is needed and help influence cloud standards across the team. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for a mid–senior Cloud Engineer with 4–8 years’ experience who can make an immediate impact. You’ll have deep hands-on Azure experience, ideally gained within complex or scaling SaaS environments, and the confidence to operate independently without needing core upskilling. You should bring strong capability across: Azure services: VM management, App Services, Azure Container Instances, App Gateways / Front Door, DNS, reservation management, and blob/table/file storage. Azure architecture: Landing zones, management groups, RBAC/IAM/PIM management, high availability, and failover mechanisms. Infrastructure as Code: ARM or Bicep (with Bicep becoming the preferred approach). Scripting: PowerShell (our primary internal tool), with Python or Azure CLI also valuable. Observability & monitoring: Azure Monitor, OpsGenie, Site24x7, Prometheus, and the ability to expose infrastructure metrics effectively. Cloud engineering essentials : Troubleshooting across teams, building secure and cost-efficient environments, rightsizing, networking fundamentals, and designing resilient infrastructure. Azure certification (particularly AZ-104) is a strong advantage but not mandatory. Who You’ll Work With You’ll join a collaborative team of six cloud engineers with strong Azure expertise, working closely with the Cloud Engineering Lead and colleagues across development, security, and platform operations. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where autonomy, technical ownership, and continuous improvement are all encouraged. Here at Totalmobile, we want all of our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. We are committed to an inclusive workforce that fully represents many different cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. We are dedicated to supporting inclusion and diversity at Totalmobile. We actively celebrate colleagues’ different abilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, and gender. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages in their journey with us.
