Requirements

* Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a strong technical accounting background
* Experience within a group finance, external reporting, or consolidation-focused environment
* Strong Excel skills, analytical mindset, and excellent attention to detail
* Proven experience preparing multi-currency group consolidations and supporting external audits
* Strong understanding of intercompany transactions and loan balances
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and non-finance stakeholders
* Proactive and self-motivated, with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving
What the job involves
* This role is a Fixed Term Contract anticipated to end in April 2027
* As a Group Financial Accountant at Jagex, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the delivery of accurate group reporting, statutory accounts, and audit requirements during a pivotal period of transformation across the Finance team
* Working closely with the Associate Director of Group Reporting & Finance Systems, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of month‑end close, group consolidations, covenant reporting, and external audits while the wider reporting team supports the implementation of a new ERP system
* This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and evolving finance function in a PE‑backed business, where your technical expertise, attention to detail, and proactive mindset will directly support strategic decision‑making and operational excellence across the company
* Lead and support month‑end close activities, including debt and interest calculations, intercompany processes, and exceptional cost reviews
* Own and maintain capitalised development cost processes, ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies
* Prepare monthly group consolidations and management accounts, including balance sheet, cash flow, and adjusted EBITDA reporting
* Deliver quarterly covenant reporting and support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Prepare statutory accounts for all entities, including audited consolidated accounts, ensuring all filing deadlines are met
* Proactively manage the external audit process with PwC and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely responses and accurate audit evidence
* Support the development and maintenance of group accounting policies and procedures
* Monitor and assess the impact of changes to accounting standards across the business
* Partner closely with FP&A, operational finance, procurement, and revenue teams to improve reporting accuracy and deepen commercial insight
* Support identification of capitalisation opportunities and strengthen business partnering across the organisation
* Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and process optimisation opportunities
