px Group has operated and maintained this Upper Tier COMAH installation since 2016. We are also the designated duty holder of the associated 32” FUKA and 30” SIRGE pipelines which supply the St. Fergus Gas Terminal. px Group has full accountability for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of both assets.
We work closely with our client, sharing the vision for this to be the terminal of choice for the region. We are committed to the ongoing technical and commercial development of the facility to ensure the business isn’t just sustained, but continues to grow.



The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for an ICT Support Specialist.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of safety, availability and reliability for ICT services, by ensuring the effective and accurate provision of a diverse range of ICT duties, in order to support the px business as a whole in achieving ICT goals and objectives.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

* To ensure that the business is provided with an extremely high level of ICT support & project management services.
* To contribute to the timely achievement of personal, departmental and section goals.
* To manage, support, and develop the px ICT helpdesk, policies, reports, procedures, written protocols etc, satisfying both business and customer needs and statutory and agreed internal and external standards.
* Responsible for providing both end user and overall technical support to px ICT users based at St Fergus Gas Terminal and other px operational sites and offices. To do this by email, phone, using remote management tools or in person. This role will include travel to other px locations on an “as needed” basis.
* Ensure comprehensive asset management is undertaken at all sites of responsibility.
* To support other members of the ICT Department and site specific teams, in maintaining high levels of safety, availability and reliability for ICT hardware and software (including systems).
* To ensure the effective and accurate provision of a range of administration and support duties. To include (but not limited to):
1st, 2nd line px ICT helpdesk support.
Preparation and installations of hardware/software.
Physical hardware rollouts & upgrades.
Asset Management
Undertake an active role in supporting ICT projects and strategic activities, led by the Service Delivery team.
Telecoms Support – Mitel IP, voice recording & Mobile phones.
Management of multi-vendor printing estate.
Procurement of ICT Equipment/Licenses/Systems.
Software license management.
Maintenance and testing of Networks.
Patching.
* To provide appropriate support and information to the ICT Support Manager outlining relevant issues, trends and policies.
* Establish strong and effective relationships with all members of the ICT department and its key customers – external and internal.
* Remain up to date with ICT and other relevant industry best practise, trends, data and statutory requirements.
* Support & management of px corporate tools such as (but not limited to):
Microsoft Products
Active Directory
Ivanti (Service Desk Software & Central Management Console)
CMMS (Maintenance Management System)
Finance (SAP Business one)
Office 365
Auto CAD & other design suite applications
Meraki Portal
Group Policy

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum Requirements:
* Previous helpdesk experience.
* Experience in installation, upgrading and general support of a wide range of software applications.
* Building, installing and upgrading hardware.
* Asset management experience.
* Network support, installation and maintenance.
* Competent with the use of Microsoft OS (Win 7 onwards)
* Proficient with the use of MS 365 and Teams.
