Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – 2 Term Placement
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for an exciting two-term placement in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
This role is ideal for confident HLTAs who enjoy taking an active role in the classroom and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of engaging lessons, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole-class learning when required. You will play an important role in helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and stay motivated in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
Leading small group and intervention sessions
Providing whole-class cover when required
Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND and EAL
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Helping maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Experience working in primary or secondary schools
Confidence leading classroom activities and supporting learning
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
